Tab Thacker was an American wrestler and actor who was the NCAA Division I Wrestling heavyweight national champion in 1984. He began his film career after being discovered by Clint Eastwood, leading to appearances in movies such as City Heat (1984), Wildcats (1986), and Police Academy 5: Assignment Miami Beach (1988). Thacker also featured in Identity Crisis (1990) and had a role in another Police Academy film. After his time in Hollywood, he returned to Raleigh, North Carolina, where he ran a remodeling business and worked as a bail bondsman.
