Sylvia Syms was an English actress who was nominated for a BAFTA Award for her performance in Woman in a Dressing Gown (1957). She gained prominence in the film industry during the mid-1950s to mid-1960s, appearing in notable films such as Ice-Cold in Alex (1958), No Trees in the Street (1959), and Victim (1961). Syms also had a role in The Tamarind Seed (1974) and appeared in The Queen (2006).
