Svetlana Kharitonova is a Soviet actress who made her film debut in 1955. She gained prominence with her role as Irina Borozdina in "The Cranes Are Flying" (1957). Throughout her career, she often took on supporting roles, embodying various characters such as the old woman Thekla in "White Nights" (1959) and the eccentric Elvira in "Can Not Be!" (1976). Kharitonova also ventured into directing, producing educational sports films and winning the Grand Prix for "Teaching Infant Swimming". She continued acting in films, including "Stalin's Funeral" (1990).
