Suzu Hirose is a Japanese actress who played Suzu Asano in the 2015 film Our Little Sister. She gained recognition for her role in this live-action adaptation of the manga Umimachi Diary, which was screened in competition for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Her performance earned her several accolades, including the Japan Academy Prize for 'Newcomer of the Year' and the 'Best New Actress' award from Kinema Junpo. Hirose also starred as Chihaya Ayase in the film adaptations of Chihayafuru, with the first part released in 2016, followed by two sequels. She collaborated with director Hirokazu Kore-eda again for The Third Murder.
