Suzanne Pleshette was an American actress who starred as Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978. She began her film career in the early 1960s with notable appearances in Rome Adventure (1962) and Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963). Pleshette also featured in various television productions, often in guest roles, and received Emmy Award nominations for her performances. Her voice work includes a role in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (1998). Pleshette continued acting until 2004 and passed away in 2008 due to complications from lung cancer.
