Suriya is an Indian film actor and producer who made his debut in Nerukku Ner (1997). He gained prominence with his role in Nandha (2001) and achieved significant commercial success with the thriller Kaakha Kaakha (2003). Throughout his career, Suriya has received three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards South. His notable works include Soorarai Pottru (2020), Jai Bhim (2021), and Vikram (2022). In addition to acting, he founded the production company 2D Entertainment in 2013 and established the Agaram Foundation in 2008 to support philanthropic efforts. Suriya married actress Jyothika in 2006.
