Sunil Kirpalani is an Indian Avionic Engineer turned Businessman who made his film debut in Kadhal Oviyam (1982), where he was introduced by director Bharathiraja under the screen name 'Kannan'. After the film did not succeed, he chose to leave the film industry for a career in banking. After a hiatus of forty years, he returned to cinema with Sakthi Thirumagan (2025), featuring Vijay Antony.
