Steven Seagal is an American action film star who made his film debut in Above the Law (1988). He holds a 7th-dan black belt in Aikido and was the first foreigner to run an Aikido Dojo in Japan. Seagal gained significant fame with his role as Navy SEALs counter-terrorist expert Casey Ryback in Under Siege (1992). His career saw a shift towards direct-to-video films in the late 1990s, with notable titles including Exit Wounds (2001) and Half Past Dead (2002). He also appeared in Attack Force (2006) and Black Dawn (2006). In addition to acting, Seagal is a guitarist and the founder of Steven Seagal Enterprises.
