Steve Kahan is an American character actor who portrayed Captain Ed Murphy in the Lethal Weapon film series. He collaborated extensively with his cousin, director Richard Donner, appearing in fourteen of his films, including Superman (1978), Scrooged (1988), and the Lethal Weapon sequels. Kahan's notable roles also include appearances in Inside Moves (1980) and Assassins (1995). His work in the action genre is particularly highlighted by his performances in Lethal Weapon 2 (1989), Lethal Weapon 3 (1992), and Lethal Weapon 4 (1998). Kahan passed away in 2019.
