Stephen Fry is an English actor and writer who first gained prominence in the 1981 Cambridge Footlights Revue "The Cellar Tapes." He co-created and starred in the comedy series A Bit of Fry & Laurie alongside Hugh Laurie, and they also portrayed the titular characters in Jeeves and Wooster. Fry's notable film roles include playing the lead in Wilde and appearing in V for Vendetta (2006) and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011). He has hosted the quiz show QI and presented the documentary series Stephen Fry in America. He has authored several novels and autobiographies and has lent his voice to all seven Harry Potter audiobooks.
