Stephen Colbert is an American political satirist and television host known for his role as a correspondent on The Daily Show. He began his career in acting and became involved in improvisational theatre at Northwestern University, where he worked with Del Close. Colbert's notable works include the series Exit 57, the cult favorite Strangers with Candy, and his own show, The Colbert Report, which earned him three Emmy nominations. He has also appeared in films such as Despicable Me 4 and The Truth About Jussie Smollett?. Colbert authored the book I Am America (And So Can You!).
