Stana Katic is a Canadian actress and producer who played Kate Beckett in the ABC series Castle (2009–2016). She began her acting journey in theater before transitioning to television, with early roles in series such as 24, The Closer, and CSI: NY. Katic gained significant recognition for her portrayal of FBI Special Agent Emily Byrne in the Amazon Prime Video series Absentia (2017–2020), earning a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her performance. Her film credits include The Possession of Hannah Grace (2018) and A Call to Spy (2020). Katic co-founded Katic Productions in 2013, which has produced various short films and television pilots.
