Sonny Shroyer is an American retired actor who portrayed Deputy Sheriff Enos Strate in the television series The Dukes of Hazzard. He also starred in the spin-off series Enos, which focused on his character from The Dukes of Hazzard. Shroyer has appeared in various film and television roles, including a part in The Longest Yard (1974). His film credits include Wild America (1997). Before his acting career, he played football at Florida State University, but an injury ended his athletic pursuits, leading him to complete his education at the University of Georgia.
