Sônia Braga is a Brazilian actress who received a BAFTA Award nomination for her performance in Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands (1976). She earned Golden Globe nominations for her roles in Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985) and Moon over Parador (1988). Braga was also nominated for an Emmy Award and a third Golden Globe for her work in the television film The Burning Season (1994). In 2020, she was ranked #24 on The New York Times' list of the 25 Greatest Actors of the 21st Century. Braga appeared in Angel Eyes (2001).
