Song Joong-ki is a South Korean actor who gained prominence with his role in the historical drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010). He first took on a leading role in the melodrama The Innocent Man (2012) and achieved significant success in films, particularly as the title character in A Werewolf Boy (2012). After serving in the military, he starred in the highly popular drama Descendants of the Sun (2016), which garnered a peak audience share of 38.8% in South Korea. His work has earned him recognition in Forbes Korea Power Celebrity lists, where he ranked 2nd in 2017. Song Joong-ki also participated in the variety show Running Man as an original cast member starting in 2010.
