Sondra James was an American sound coordinator and actress who appeared in the Oscar-winning film Joker (2019). She also featured in Emma Seligman's directorial debut Shiva Baby (2020) and had a minor role in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). Her work extended beyond acting, as she was involved in ADR voice casting for notable films including Wes Anderson's The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) and Mike Nichols' Closer (2004). James acted in The Tender Bar (2021). She passed away on September 12, 2021, in New York City after a battle with lung cancer.
