Sinéad Cusack is an Irish actress who performed at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin before joining the Royal Shakespeare Company in London in 1969. She has received two Tony Award nominations for her roles in Much Ado About Nothing (1985) and Rock 'n' Roll (2008). Cusack has also been nominated five times for Olivier Awards, including for her performances in As You Like It (1981) and Our Lady of Sligo (1998). She appeared in V for Vendetta (2006) and has won the Critics' Circle and Evening Standard Awards for her work in Sebastian Barry's Our Lady of Sligo. In 2020, she was recognized as one of Ireland's greatest film actors by The Irish Times.
