Simu Liu is a Canadian actor who gained fame for his role as Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, making his debut in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021). He has portrayed Paul Xie in the crime drama series Blood and Water, earning nominations for a Canadian Screen Award and an ACTRA Award. Liu also played Jung Kim in the sitcom Kim's Convenience (2016–2021) and appeared as one of the Ken dolls in Barbie (2023). In addition to his acting career, he published a memoir titled We Were Dreamers in 2022 and was recognized as one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people. Liu starred in the film Atlas (2024).
