Simon Oakland is an American actor who played the psychiatrist in Psycho (1960). He had a prolific career in television, featuring in over 130 series and made-for-television movies from 1951 to 1983. Notable film appearances include roles in West Side Story (1961), The Sand Pebbles (1966), Bullitt (1968), and The Hunting Party (1971). Oakland was a regular on the cult classic series Kolchak: The Night Stalker (1974-1975) and the military drama Baa Baa Black Sheep (1976-1978). His last credited role was in the CBS series Tucker's Witch, shortly before his death in 1983.
