Simon Frenay is a French filmmaker and actor who began his career in films directed by Robert Guédiguian and the duo Olivier Ducastel & Jacques Martineau. He trained at the Cours Florent and has appeared in various international projects and television. Transitioning to directing, his first short film, Youssou & Malek, garnered recognition at around forty festivals and won several awards. His work, including the film Carpobrotus, delves into themes of identity and desire. In 2020, he founded the association Sous le Même Ciel to support exiled individuals, particularly unaccompanied minors. Frenay's filmography includes the 2017 film Night.
