Simon Baker is an Aboriginal Canadian actor of Cree, Haida, and Squamish descent who began his career with a leading role in Once in a Blue Moon. He gained early fame in the television series North of Sixty and has appeared in various films including Shanghai Noon (2000), I, Robot, and Journey to the Center of the Earth. In addition to his acting career, Baker has hosted the CTV series First Story and the documentary series Native Planet, which focuses on Indigenous cultures globally. He is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre's Actors Conservatory.
