Shohreh Aghdashloo is an Iranian American actress who received an Academy Award nomination for her role in House of Sand and Fog (2003). After beginning her career in theatre and film in Iran, she relocated to England during the Iranian Revolution and later became a U.S. citizen. Aghdashloo has appeared in various supporting roles in both television and film, including notable performances in House of Saddam (2008) and The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005). She earned an Emmy Award for her work in House of Saddam and her role in Renfield (2023).
