Shobna Gulati is a British actress who played Anita in Victoria Wood's dinnerladies from 1998 to 2000. She portrayed Sunita Alahan in Coronation Street from 2001 to 2006 and returned to the role in 2009 until 2013. Gulati also appeared in EastEnders as Ameena Badawi in 2000, making her one of the few actors to feature in both rival soap operas. Her film credits include Shadowscan (2001), which won a Bafta Award, and she was nominated for a Manchester Evening News theatre award for her performance in Dancing Within Walls (2004). She appeared in Everybody's Talking About Jamie (2021).
