Shobana is an Indian film actress and Bharatanatyam dancer who won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice. She gained prominence as a leading actress in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada cinema during the 1980s and 1990s. Her notable films include Manichitrathazhu (1993), Thalapathi (1991), and Mere Baap Pehle Aap (2008). In recognition of her artistic contributions, she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2006. Shobana also appeared in Kalki 2898-AD (2024) and Kochadaiiyaan (2014).
