Shinobu Nakayama is a Japanese actress who gained prominence for her role as Mayumi Nagamine in Gamera: Guardian of the Universe (1995). She began her career in the music industry, releasing her first single in 1988 and being part of idol groups like Nanatsuboshi and Rakutenshi. Transitioning to acting in the early 1990s, she appeared in the Jet Li film Fist of Legend before reprising her role as Mayumi Nagamine in Gamera 3: Incomplete Struggle (1999). Nakayama also featured in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993). She is the younger sister of actress Miho Nakayama.
