Shawn Levy is a Canadian-American filmmaker who directed the first three films in the Night at the Museum franchise (2006–2014). He gained early recognition for his work in comedy, directing films such as Big Fat Liar (2002), Just Married (2003), and Cheaper by the Dozen (2003). His successful collaboration with Ryan Reynolds includes Free Guy (2021), The Adam Project (2022), and Deadpool & Wolverine (2024), the latter becoming his highest-grossing film. Levy also served as an executive producer and director for the Netflix series Stranger Things. He is the founder of 21 Laps Entertainment and has directed the limited series All the Light We Cannot See (2023).
