Shane Black is an American filmmaker and actor who made his directorial debut with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang in 2005. He created the Lethal Weapon franchise and has written notable films such as The Monster Squad, The Last Boy Scout, and Last Action Hero. As an actor, he portrayed Rick Hawkins in Predator (1987). Black also directed Iron Man 3 (2013) and The Nice Guys (2016). His work includes the film The Predator (2018).
