Shammi Kapoor is an Indian film actor and director who made his Bollywood debut in Jeevan Jyoti (1953). He emerged as a leading star in Hindi cinema during the late 1950s through the early 1970s, with dynamic performances in films such as Junglee (1961), Teesri Manzil (1966), and An Evening in Paris (1967). Kapoor's notable works include Rajkumar (1964), Janwar (1965), and Prem Rog (1982). He received the Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1968 for Brahmachari and a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for Vidhaata in 1982.
