Shailene Woodley is an American actress who played Amy Juergens in the television series The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2008–2013). She received her first Golden Globe nomination for her performance in The Descendants (2011) and portrayed a cancer patient in The Fault in Our Stars (2014). Woodley starred as Beatrice Prior in the Divergent Series (2014–2016) and played a sexual assault survivor in the HBO series Big Little Lies (2017–2019), earning nominations for both a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award. Her film credits include Adrift (2018), The Last Letter from Your Lover (2021), and The Mauritanian (2021). Woodley is also involved with the political action committee, Our Revolution.
