Sergey Gazarov is a Russian actor, director, screenwriter, and producer who graduated from GITIS in 1980. He has worked in various Moscow theaters, including Sovremennik and a studio theater under Oleg Tabakov's guidance. Gazarov directed the play The Inspector General in 1991, which earned him the STD prize for best performance of the year. He also established a private film company that same year and served as the chief director of the theater led by Armen Dzhigarkhanyan. In addition to his stage work, he directed several television series. Gazarov appeared in Kalashnikov AK-47 (2020).
