Sebastian Shaw was an English actor who played Anakin Skywalker in Return of the Jedi (1983). He had a diverse career spanning 65 years, during which he appeared in numerous stage performances and over 40 film and television productions. Shaw made his film debut in Caste (1930). He joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1966, where he spent a decade. In addition to acting, Shaw was also a novelist and poet, having published The Christening in 1975.
