Sean Frye is an American actor who co-starred as Steve in the classic film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982). He began his career at a young age, appearing in commercials and studying at The Actors Studio under Lee Strasberg. Frye made his film debut in Fun with Dick and Jane (1977) and later appeared in notable television productions such as The Awakening Land and Little House on the Prairie. He was also involved in stage productions, including La MaMa Theater's Skyjack '76, which won a Drama Critics Circle Award. After retiring from acting in 1988, Frye transitioned to social work and later adopted a son with his spouse, Michael Alexander.
