Scott Spiegel is an American screenwriter and director who co-wrote the screenplay for Evil Dead II alongside Sam Raimi. He portrayed Scotty in Within the Woods, a precursor to The Evil Dead. Spiegel moved to Los Angeles, where he lived with Raimi, Joel Coen, and other notable filmmakers. He played a significant role in connecting Quentin Tarantino with producer Lawrence Bender, which helped lead to the making of Reservoir Dogs. In 1999, he directed Texas Blood Money, a sequel to From Dusk Till Dawn. Spiegel also co-founded the production company Raw Nerve, which produced Hostel in 2005.
