Scott Bakula is an American actor who played Sam Beckett in the television series Quantum Leap. He won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series Drama in 1991 and received four Emmy nominations for his work on the show. Bakula portrayed Captain Jonathan Archer in Star Trek: Enterprise and appeared as Stephen Bartowski, the father of the title character, in NBC's Chuck. He also had a role in the film American Beauty (1999). Bakula's performances have made a significant impact on television and film.
