Scatman Crothers was an American actor who voiced Scat Cat in The Aristocats (1970). He played Dick Hallorann in The Shining (1980) and portrayed Louie the Garbage Man on the television series Chico and the Man. Crothers was a voiceover artist, lending his voice to characters such as Jazz the Autobot in The Transformers and the title character in Hong Kong Phooey.
