Sardar Akhtar was a prominent actress in pre-independence Hindi cinema who played Queen Noor Jehan in Pukar (1939). She began her career in stunt and social films during the silent and early talkie era, later gaining recognition for her performance in Mehboob Khan’s Aurat (1940), where she portrayed a rural mother facing poverty and injustice. Akhtar's legacy is further highlighted by her role in The Music Room (1958).
