Sarah Michelle Gellar is an American actress who gained prominence for her role as Buffy Summers in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003). She made her screen debut in the TV film An Invasion of Privacy (1983) and later starred in the soap opera All My Children (1993–1995), earning a Daytime Emmy Award. Gellar's film career includes notable performances in I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), The Grudge (2004), and Cruel Intentions (1999). She has also participated in independent films like Southland Tales (2006) and The Air I Breathe (2007). In addition to acting, Gellar co-founded the e-commerce startup Foodstirs in 2015 and released a cookbook in 2017.
