Santiago Segura is a Spanish filmmaker who directed the hit feature film Torrente, el brazo tonto de la ley (1998). He began his career with his first short film, Relatos de la medianoche (1989), and gained recognition after winning a Goya for Best Short Film for Perturbado (1993). Segura has collaborated extensively with director Álex de la Iglesia, appearing in all of his films. His notable acting credits include roles in Blade II (2002) and Pacific Rim (2013). Segura also participated in several Spanish TV quiz shows, such as Locos por la tele (1990).
