Santhanam is an Indian actor known for his comedic roles in Tamil cinema. He began his career in television, gaining popularity through his performances in Vijay TV's Lollu Sabha, where he spoofed Tamil films. His film debut came with a supporting role in Manmadhan (2004), and he received acclaim for his performances in Sachien (2005) and Polladhavan (2007). Santhanam's success in the early 2010s led to him being dubbed the 'Comedy Superstar.' He established his own production company, Handmade Films, and produced Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya (2013), which was commercially successful. He also starred in the action comedy Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham (2014).
