Sam Worthington is an Australian actor who played Jake Sully in the Avatar franchise, starting with Avatar in 2009. He has portrayed notable characters such as Marcus Wright in Terminator Salvation (2009) and Perseus in Clash of the Titans (2010) and its sequel Wrath of the Titans (2012). Worthington has also taken on dramatic roles in films like The Debt (2010), Everest (2015), and Hacksaw Ridge (2016). He has earned Australia's highest film award three times for his performances in Bootmen (2000), Somersault (2004), and Avatar (2009). In addition to his film work, he voiced Captain Alex Mason in the Call of Duty: Black Ops video game series. Worthington starred in Avatar: The Way of Water (2022).
