Sam Wanamaker was an American film director and actor credited with the modern recreation of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London. He appeared in notable films such as Death on the Nile (1978), Private Benjamin (1989), and Baby Boom (1987). Wanamaker also featured in Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987), Raw Deal (1986), and The Competition (1980). He was the father of actress Zoë Wanamaker.
