Sam Raimi is an American filmmaker who directed the Evil Dead trilogy, which began with The Evil Dead in 1982. He also helmed the Spider-Man trilogy from 2002 to 2007. Other notable works include Darkman (1990), A Simple Plan (1998), and Drag Me to Hell (2009). Raimi founded Renaissance Pictures in 1979 and Ghost House Pictures in 2002, and produced several television series, such as Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He directed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in 2022.
