Sam Buchanan is an English actor who played Nick Shymansky in the biopic Back to Black (2024). He graduated with a BA from the ArtsEd Acting program in 2019 after leaving college with a Performing Arts BTEC. Buchanan's television work includes a role as Nicky in the comedy-drama series Such Brave Girls (2023) and a part in the HBO series Get Millie Black. His film credits feature My Fault: London (2025) and he portrayed a character in the verbatim production Grenfell, broadcast on Channel 4. Additionally, he appeared in the video games Marvel's Midnight Suns (2022) and Ten Dates (2023). In 2024, he was seen in the BBC One drama series Sherwood as Nicky Branson.
