Salma Hayek Pinault is a Mexican and American actress who portrayed Frida Kahlo in the biopic Frida (2002). She began her career in Mexico with the telenovela Teresa (1989–1991) and the film Midaq Alley (1995). Hayek gained prominence in Hollywood with roles in Desperado (1995), From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), and Wild Wild West (1999). She achieved commercial success in comedies such as Grown Ups (2010) and Grown Ups 2 (2013), and lent her voice to animated features including Puss in Boots (2011) and Sausage Party (2016). In addition to acting, she has received four Emmy Award nominations for her work in television. Hayek played Ajak in the Marvel film Eternals (2021), which became her highest-grossing live-action project.
