Ryo Ishibashi is a Japanese actor who made his film debut in A-Hômansu (1986). He gained international recognition for his performances in notable Japanese horror films, including Audition and Suicide Club. In the United States, he portrayed Nakagawa in The Grudge (2004) and its sequel, The Grudge 2. Ishibashi began his career in music with the band ARB, which he formed in 1977 and later re-formed in 1998. He received the Best Actor award at the 11th Yokohama Film Festival for his work in A Sign Days. Ishibashi has been married to Mieko Harada since 1987 and has three children.
