Roy Thomas is an American comic book writer and editor who succeeded Stan Lee as editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics. He introduced Conan the Barbarian to American comics, which helped popularize the sword and sorcery genre. Thomas has also written for Marvel's X-Men and The Avengers, as well as DC Comics' All-Star Squadron. He co-created Wolverine, Vision, and Carol Danvers. In 2011, Thomas was inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame. He is featured in the documentary Stan Lee (2023).
