Rossy de Palma is a Spanish actress who gained prominence in Pedro Almodóvar’s Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988). Initially a singer and dancer for the band Peor Imposible, she was discovered by Almodóvar in a Madrid café. De Palma became a fashion muse, working with designers such as Jean-Paul Gaultier and Thierry Mugler, and solidified her status in Robert Altman's Prêt-à-Porter (1994). Her filmography includes notable roles in La ley del deseo (Law of Desire), Kika, and La flor de mi secreto (The Flower of My Secret). Additionally, she is a charity spokesperson for OrphanAid Africa and has released her own perfume line. She was a jury member at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.
