Roselyne Bachelot is a French politician who served as Minister of Culture in the government of Prime Minister Jean Castex. She was a member of the National Assembly from 1988 to 2002 and again in 2007, representing Maine-et-Loire's 1st constituency. Bachelot also held the position of Minister for Health and Sports from 2007 to 2010, where she implemented significant health policies, including a smoking ban in public places. In addition to her political career, she has ventured into acting, appearing in 'The Bus: A French Football Mutiny' (2026). Bachelot received a Doctorate in Pharmacy and was a Member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2007.
