Roger Miller was an American singer-songwriter and musician who wrote and performed songs for the Disney animated film Robin Hood (1973). He began his career in the late 1950s as a songwriter, penning hits for artists like Jim Reeves and Ray Price. Miller gained fame in the mid-1960s with chart-topping songs such as "King of the Road" and "Dang Me." He also wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Big River in 1985, in which he acted. Inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1995, his legacy includes enduring hits that continue to be covered by contemporary artists.
