Robin Givens is an American actress who gained prominence for her role as Darlene Merriman in the ABC sitcom Head of the Class. She began her acting career in 1985 with a guest appearance on The Cosby Show and quickly rose to fame with her performance in Head of the Class, which she reprised in the 2021 HBO remake. Givens has appeared in various notable productions, including The Women of Brewster Place (1989), A Rage in Harlem (1991), and Boomerang (1992). In addition to her film and television work, she played Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of Chicago in 2006. Givens has also starred in Last Looks (2022) and Gully (2021).
